What's the difference between the two apart the obvious honors classes...is it significant when graduating and getting a job etc...thanks

This is a great question- I want to know too!

bump…

double bump

Are you talking about taking lower level classes with an honors designation? That is nice, but in the grand scheme of things, I do not think that will have a great impact on your future.

Are you talking about graduating with upper level departmental honors in economics?
[UT College of Liberal Arts - Honors Programs](http://www.utexas.edu/cola/student-affairs/Programs/Honors.php#Dept)
That is probably helpful for grad school, for example.

You wouldn’t be applying for a job as an economist with a bachelor’s degree in economics, would you? I don’t know what the impact of either of these would be on job hunting…

You might try asking this over in the parents’ forum; it sounds like a general question more than a UT question (maybe?)
