Transfer In School to Honors?

I was wondering if after a year pursuing a standard Economics major if you can tranfser into a honors plan for the same major, assuming the GPA is good enough

In the college of liberal arts, you can get upper division honors, which is like honors in the major, in most majors.
Here is how it works for an economics major:

Note timing: “Majors seeking honors in economics are encouraged to apply by the beginning of their sophomore year and must apply for admission before the first semester of their senior year.”

Also, you can graduate with honors in liberal arts if you maintain at least a 3.5 GPA and take 3 LAH classes and do well in them.

Okay thanks! I was just making sure that it wasn’t something I had to do before applying freshman year…basically just lots of calc/econ lol
