Honors?

I was invited to apply for the honors program and am still wondering whether or not I should apply. What specific advantages does the honors program grant you?

bump~~~~~~~~~

I'd apply, can't hurt, I think you get to take a few honors courses and have the chance to live w/ smarter people. And of course for grad school it looks better. Probably mostly its just a way of stelaing a few kids who would be otherwise Ivy bound.

wait how you find out honors? do you get asked after you pay your deposit? or?

they send an email about applying a few weeks after you get accepted

You can apply and then choose not to do it later....

As far as being an honors freshman goes... you take Great Books with all the other Honors freshmen, and I hear that's a good class. Then for your other classes, you'll take a regular class with an extra honors section later... or start off in the honors section... it varies but in general you get extra academic opportunities in the Honors program. Plus I think you get a special advisor and the option to live in South Quad with the other Honors kids? I definitely wanted to be in the Honors program at Michigan from the beginning. :-)
