Hopeful Michigan Transfer Student Fall 2020

Hey guys! I need so advice and input. I am currently a sophomore at my local community college. I have transferred from a four-year institution in SC and I plan on transferring again this fall. My choices are between Michigan State, Wayne State, and Central Michigan. Currently, I have a 3.57 from my community college and a 3.18 from my previous four-year school. In total, I have 47 credits from both schools. I am planning on majoring in Sociology and an additional major. My problem deals with the MTA. I technically have everything needed for the MTA but, my community college can’t give the credit because I am still paying my balance at the university off to get my transcripts to send. I also have most of the general eds (minus a class or two) from all three of these schools without the MTA if necessary. So my question is do you guys think I’ll be admitted to either of these schools with my stats? Thanks in advance and sorry for such the long post!

You will need to settle your debt in order to have your transcript released. You won’t be able to apply until you do have that transcript. So right now, you need to focus on paying off the debt.

The transfer advisor at your own CC will be able to help you evaluate your chances of admission at these places. Bring an unofficial copy of your first transcript to that meeting, and start planning the best pathway to your goal.

@happymomof1 I’m almost done gathering all the money to pay off the balance. Also, the advisors/counselors at my school aren’t the best and they never know what they’re doing, unfortunately.
