Class rank is the biggest determining factor in UT admissions. Do you know yours?

my school doesn't rank, so unfortunately i have no idea.

If you've already started your essays I'd suggest you stop. The prompts change every year (you can't make up your own prompt, you must answer the questions provided).

Your GPA is probably not very highly ranked if it is 3.3/4/0. If it's out of more than 4.0 it's even harder. OOS admission is EXTREMELY competitive--almost as difficult as getting in to an Ivy league school. The ECs look okay but nothing stellar unless you are a captain. The ethnicity won't help you--there are enough Latinos in Texas to cover that portion of the admissions.

I have to say that it is unlikely that you will be granted admission based on the stats you have provided. But don't give up hope--work on the essays once the prompts are up, getting the rank up, having some leadership and community service. Talk to the admissions counselors, make sure they really know you want to go there.

Good luck.
