I am thinking of applying to Richmond but im not the standard applicant. I attend a very prestigious private high school in the midwest. My GPA is a 3.3 but many kids have got into good schools with lower than average GPA's (Due to the difficulty of my school). I am expecting to get a 27 on my ACT. I am on Varsity Baseball, Cross Country, and Track. By my senior year I will have completed about 120+ service hours. Do I have any chance of getting in??

Thanks

Johnny, I wouldn't worry too much on the service hours - focus on keeping up with the sports (UR has a good baseball team!), take the most rigorous courseload your school offers (college credit for APs), and take the SATs and SAT2s (most schools on the east coast would like to see them over the ACT). Oh, and work on that GPA, UR is getting more competitive every year.

I got in last year with a 3.3 GPA, 5 AP's, a 1450 SAT and I was a national merit scholar, I don't know if that helps you asses your situation any better or not.
