The many thoughtful responses on the thread on evaluative vs. "non-evaluative" interviews was so helpful, I thought I'd ask if anyone had specific advice to help D prepare for on campus interviews of both kinds. I think we've got the dressing neatly, knowing as much about the college as possible, having a couple of questions in mind part of it down. She's only visiting colleges that interest her a lot and about which she'd like to learn more, so the enthusiam will be sincere. But is there a book or an article or a college interview equivalent of the "xiggi SAT prep" method out there?

Here is a really basic one from the Skidmore website giving general advice for interviews - http://www.skidmore.edu/admissions/inquire/interview.htm

I know we found others by searching the web when my kids were interviewing. Good luck.

There are tons of old threads on this topic.

Thanks for the Skidmore list and advice to search old posts. I tried "prepare interview" and found a lot of helpful info. Is there a specific old thread you'd recommend?

There was an extremely indepth thread on "Interview questions that you should know about" that is found here:http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=6371

Good luck
