Hoping to Transfer to SDSU

I am currently attending school at Arizona. I didn't do so well in high school (3.0 GPA and 24 ACT) I did take APs and applied myself a little towards the end but it still finished with a mediocre GPA. I am doing fairly well in college right now and will most likely finish this semester with a 3.8. I am from California so I was hoping to transfer to SDSU or UCSB I know both schools are a stretch but I hope I can explain that I am applying myself now. I understand they will look closely at my high school grades but like I said I hope my performance from this year can help a little. My question is if this is too big of a leap? Does anyone else have any experience with something similar?

Thanks

CSU’s and UC’s only take Junior level transfers: 60 sememster units and 90 quarter units. They will not look at your HS grades. You basicially get to start over as a transfer. Local CC’s will get priority, so you will be at a disadvantage but your college GPA looks very competitive.

Look up SDSU acceptances on here. They tend to only accept San Diego students because it’s that impacted. It’s rare they take others even if they have high GPAs

I went to High school in San Diego does that help?
