Weighted GPA: 4.77/5.33, 5.33 is max for AP and 5.00 is max for Honors

SAT: 2350 (800 Math, 760 CR, 790 Writing) taken once.
ACT: you really think I’d take this with an SAT score that high?
Subject tests: 800 Math II, 800 Chemistry.

APs: [Sophomore Year:] 4 on AP Chem (I self studied this, and it was that year where they changed the test and it got harder than my Princeton Review book said it would be.) 5 on AP Environmental Science 5 on AP Microeconomics [Junior Year:] 5 on AP Bio, 5 on AP US History, 5 on AP Calc BC, 5 on AP English Language, 5 on AP Computer Science AB [Projected Senior Year:] Im taking AP Stats, AP Macroeconomics, AP Physics C E&M, AP Spanish Language, AP English Literature, AP US Government and Politics, and AP Music Theory

Schedule Rigor: higher than Colorado. I’m not kidding, the only academic courses ive ever taken is Gym (which I stopped taking after Sophomore year by taking gym over the summer so I don’t have to put up with it during the school year. Not about to be stuck in a locker room with other sweaty guys)

Extracurriculars:

Forensics Debate Team:
Four years, I’m set to be a captain during my senior year.

FBLA: I had a one year fling in freshman year and decided selling boxes of chocolate to fund a field trip to take just another test was not my thing

Sports: none, besides competitive walking and sleeping longer than anyone else

Honor societies: Spanish, National, and Math

Volunteering hours: 150+
I volunteer at school.

Race: never competed in one because I probably wouldn’t win.
State: relatively sane.
Major: I prefer songs in minor keys actually.

Please be realistic guys! If you have any harsh constructive criticism, please give it to me. Im willing to listen to anything.

@HopkinsHopeful Your statistics should impress the Hopkins admissions committee; your extracurricular activities are less impressive. If you’re applying to BME, I would not be sanguine on my chances if I were you (or anyone, really), but otherwise, your academics make you a desirable candidate.

Are you an underrepresented minority, first-generation college student, athlete, or legacy student?

You don’t really present your stats well here, which may be a concern in terms in presentation and representation of yourself on the app! Hopefully you made yourself look more impressive. Even if you don’t have crazy EC’s, good presentation is key to make you look good. From here, it looks like you have great objectives (great scores, loads of APs, high course rigor), but your ECs make you seem slightly lazy lol. Not saying that you are actually lazy, but the way you make yourself seem is important!

Granted, your app could’ve been (and hopefully was) way more nicely written, but I just wanted to give you that. Great objective, not many EC’s.
