Did anyone enter this scholarship? If so what were your stats and adversity? Plus when do the results come out? Many of my friends entered and they are anxious to know if they came out? Also, is there anyone that you know came out as a winner?

did anyone apply to this scholarship? when do the results come out?

I applied. my adversities were great financial need and my dad's death. The website said national winners will be announced by jan. 15 and all other programs in the spring.

I entered last year, and I won $2500. Like the previous poster, my adversities were critical financial need, my dad's death, and my mom's inability to support her family on her meager wages.

My stats were
1320/1600 SAT
and top 15% of class, I think

we get official finalist notice on january 15 so semi-finalists will be notified before i think. vtoodler: did you get notified in december?

Thanks for your responses I really appreciate it. I don't know about whether or not I will even get the scholarship so I wanted to know the stats you all had. I am in the same situation as vtoodler and I had an act score of 25 and I rank in the top 5% of my class. I was just curious thanks.

I got notified in may. The scholarship that I applied for last year had an april 15 deadline. Anyways, bossgirl, I think that you have a decent chance of getting the scholarship. What state do you live in?

I live in Louisiana.

Oh, then you have a good chance of getting the Louisiana Scholarship. I don't know about the national one.

Btw--Did you know that Horatio Alger was a homosexual? that's pretty interesting

Hey! I was wondering for the income verification, is it required to show your social security number? Can I white it out?
