I just finished freshman year and my averaged GPA was about 3.4 by the end of it. However, before this year I have never had a GPA below 3.7. :/ I guess the transition into highschool, my lack of effort in the beginning of the year, and my 30 day absence from school (family vacation to Europe and Africa) right before midterms took a major toll on my grades. But my GPA did get progressively better throughout the year (First marking period: 3.0, then 3.3, then 3.7, then 3.7). I ended the year with all my academic classes have a B-, B, B+, or A-. :/
My schedule for Sophomore Year is:
Honors Algebra II
PE 10
Honors Biology
ACP English 10
Lunch I & II
Spanish 3 (would be Honors but there was a min. absence requirement :( )
Accounting I
ACP U.S. History

[And my school course levels are CP, ACP, Honors, AP, so ACP is just average)

Have I already tarnished my chances at universities like Duke and Notre Dame? And what do you reccomend I do to salvage my GPA?
