Horrible Math Curve!

3 wrong - 740

i missed 3 and got a 760 so I feel pretty lucky too...
but the test was so simple i should've gotten an 800. it's sad that a few dumb mistakes can take away so many points...!

Yes, I know what you mean. When I left the test center, I knew exactly how I could have made a mistake on each of the problems I got wrong. Others may see it differently, but I'm just as happy with my 740 as I would be with something higher. I still have to retake though, to get CR and writing scores up (around 600 each -- ouch).

2 wrong 0 omit = 740

Ain't no thang... I know that next time I shall read every question with eXXXtreme care and get that 800.

March test Math- I got 2 wrong = 760

June test Math- I got 2 wrong = 740

Wow, I am shocked! I thought I would have had to get 4 wrong for a 740. But nope, only 2 wrong. GRRRRR i hate these curves

My writing score went down also, even though I got 2 more multiple choice questions correct in June than I did in March. GRRRRRR

Ihatestress, How did you miss the same amount but get different scores?

The curve for the March test was more generous in math and writing. So my scores were lower in June even though I did the same or better.

I wonder if colleges are aware that different administrations of the test, even different versions on the same day, have different curves?
