Horrible Sat II Scores

OK, I have taken four SAT II tests

On two of them I got in the 400s (I KNOW, OUCH)

But the other two I scored in the 700s..

The colleges I want to apply to require two SAT II scores..

They say they will only use the top two scores.

Will the 400s hurt my application?

I believe that for the top colleges, one has to pass through a series of readers before one reaches the final committee. And, although the final committee will see only your top two scores, everyone before it, who approves your application and sends you to the committee in the first place, will see your entire testing history.

By the way, no offense, but ~400 is absolutely disastrous.

What you could do is list only the the two 700s on your application,
and hope they ignore the other two. That, or retake those two and score AT LEAST 600+.

wait how can they ignore the other two sat scores? well even if you only put two on your transcript colleges will see ALL the sat's youve taken.

It will probably be kinda worrisome to a admissions officer. No matter how you did on the other ones.
I would probably tell the officers in a letter why you did so poorly. Whatever it may be that would be the best i think.

You will need to explain those scores.

Better yet, retake and aim for 600+ minimum.

List the two with 700s on your applications and forget about the others. Don't apply to schools that require 3 Subject Test scores.
