is a 670 SAT II in chemistry bad if I want go major in engineering (not chemical)

Well, the point of an SAT II is to show some kind of mastery in a subject area. If you scored a 670, I would say that's an adequate score but definitely not a mastery of the subject. I would imagine it would look kind of bad if you do go into engineering since more math-science oriented people with 790 SAT II Chemistry and 800 Math IIC are applying to those programs, as well.

How do your other SAT II's look? If high, they might overshadow that one score.

Hahaha I have the similar score...I got 700 on Chem,
but I took it in the middle of the freshman year. I did not
know that I should take it while or after taking AP Chem.
Well, I'm neither ganna be majoring in Science nor applying to IVY, so I don't care.

fakldjfksdjf,

Which SAT II's did you take, and do you mind posting your other specs.? Thanks and I hope I'm not interrupting this thread lol..

The other two I took were US history-730, and Math I-710 (i'm going to take Math II, later)

hahaha this site makes me wanna kill myself.

Chem: 620
Math IIC: 700
Writing: 740
Sat I: 680 v 720 m
Act: composite was 31, but science was 25
yeah, my stats are pretty low, i know
anything else you want to know?

My SAT I's are pretty... not-so-great, but I have been told to maybe try ACT's. What would be my advantages of taking these? I am more comfortable with science and math over reading and writing, but I have never considered taking this, especially because no one in our school or any others have done so. This is a bit of a hasty note, and I hope it's not too much trouble, thanks.

^^^^^

Nice reality-check post fakldjfksdjf.

Really.

would all 700+ sat iis (i took 6) look good for ivies even if i only had 1 800 and the rest are 750-.

what is up with people taking 4+ sat twos? i don't understand, why take more than what is required or even more than what is recommended?

Where they're less than $10 (USD), it's not a bad idea to take several in order to show range -- assuming you can score well on each, that is.

I'm planning on taking Lit, Math IIC, U.S. History, and World History for sure, and possibly Latin, French, and one of the sciences. If you're strong in multiple areas and don't need to study too much, why not?
