Hosing

What do yall like about wildwood? Just curious. I was going to put broward as my first choice.

You have until May 1 to set your final housing choices. The ones you put down on your housing application are just what you put.

I remember changing my housing choices about a hundred times between when I applied and when I finally decided I was happy with my choices.

Wildwood is the newest dorm (along with DeGraff). For the last year or two though it’s not been that pleasant, since a 3rd Wildwood building (for upper classmen) and a new wellness building were being built right next to Wildwood. It’s relatively poorly located though, not really close to anything aside from the stadium.

I’ve heard Wildwoold is the newest and best looking residence hall on campus amongst other good things but eventually I will visit it and see if what people have told me is true.

^^Same reason. plus i’ve watched youtube tours of wildwood and i do like it

What would be your best advice? I like newer buildings and suite style. I’ll be taking pre-medical classes, I’m really social, and love going to the gym

Thanks guys! I think I am just going to sleep now and set an alarm for 3. I’m thought will be less busy then. Wil that really hurt my chances of a good priority number?

After hours of waiting, I filled out the housing contract, printed it, and then when I tried to do the final submit, it said error and logged me out. I was #19 too. :(

Hey guys, you are just adding to the problem with your “five tabs open on two laptops”. No wonder everyone’s having a problem getting on!

You’re lucky you got in at alll!

Wildwood is a newer dorm, suite-style, and almost directly across from the Leach recreation center.

not even sure if it worked! and I’m rooming with a friend who is having the same problems as everyone.

Same thing, printed it our and said error could not submit. Start all over again

Oh my God if that happens to me

FSUDAD1-- Thanks, reassured me that i’m making the right choice! :)

I don’t agree that Wildwood is the best dorm, and I lived there (I guess you could say, I don’t agree BECAUSE I lived there, but…). The location was awful- unlike the east side or west side dorms, it wasn’t close to food or classes. Like I said, it’s pretty much only close to the Stadium (and the gym, as mentioned above).

Plus when I lived there they were getting ready to start the construction of the new building and the wellness center. The last half of Spring semester was awful for noise. That thankfully SHOULDN’T be a problem any more though, since everything is supposed to be done and opening in the Summer.

It’s really going to be up to personal preference. I don’t think there really is a “best” dorm, as there’s no dorm (in my opinion) that isn’t without significant flaws. The east side dorms require a meal plan, the west side dorms are either crappy (Smith and Kellum) or are tiny (Salley), and the others each have flaws (Wildwood: bad location; DeGraff: same; Deviney and Dorman: They’re older than old and are tiny).

It’s really personal preference. If you visit, try and tour any and all dorms. Do a LOT of research on the FSU Housing page.

What other buildings are they constructing? :o . Im guessing the campus is getting bigger and bigger

Maybe they have to be mailed in if under the age of 18? Maybe that’s why it just could not be transmitted. Where is priority number.

The campus is so compact that you can walk from the stadium to Westcott in 15 minutes.

What link are you using to apply for housing? Mine keep loading and then giving me an error message!!!

got through twice and it said there was an error
