I dont understand. Fsu wont accept my fax because it doesnt have the priority number…?

yes it’s good! and if you’re 18 you don’t have to print it

If there’s no priority number listed, the application hasn’t gone through in FSU’s system. I printed out six copies through the night, each time it gave me an error message, so I wasn’t sure if it went through. None of those copies had a priority number. This morning, once it went through with no error, the final copy to print out had a priority number. If you don’t have a priority number, you won’t have a place in line. I suggest getting back on housing and completing the application again to get your priority number before it really starts filling up.

Our agreement doesn’t show the priority number. I think after I printed it I received a message saying what the priority number was.

What would you say is the cut off for good numbers? Like, is 400-500 still good or no? It’s not loading and I’m afraid I’m going to get a bad one because me and my friend are trying to be roommates so we wanted to get in as early as possible to possibly get a suite… I hope I don’t have to stay in a dorm.

My # is 223!

okay, finally got the application to load. And me and my friend want to room together so when I put her info in, it said she is not registered in the FSU database.

what does that mean??? she was definitely accepted and when I filled it out last night, despite the errors I had, her name still appeared automatically.

Anyone else having this problem?

is 227 a good priority number??

How are you guys getting on for housing? Is there some technique you are using or something cause I’ve been trying all night on 2 computers…

AAAAHHHHGGGG this is so frustrating! Tried to get the application to upload until 4:30 AM and it wouldn’t. Gave up and went to sleep for a couple hours. Now I see people are able to upload but I’m still sitting here waiting to log in.

I’m so sick of seeing …Loading…

I think all of your numbers are good, under 1000 should get you one of your four choices. If you are trying to room with a friend, you will be assigned based on the higher priority number of the two of you if you choose “roommate” over “hall”. Make sure your friend has a number that is similar to yours, or getting a low number will be pointless!

and for the record… considering there are nearly 40,000 students, I’m going to assume that 227 is pretty sweet!

someone said yesterday that the priority number follows you all 4 years? That can’t’ be true can it?

ok awesome…had my app go through and now it wont let me pay the deposit

I read yesterday that you have like 10days to pay the deposit but getting the application in and your priority number assigned is the key. You’ll loose it though if its not paid within the 10days.

FSU’s admissions and housing portals are run so incompetently that if my son were seeking to major in computer science I couldn’t in good conscience send him there to study.

MrFritz99, yes your priority does follow you all four years, plus the number of semesters you live on campus. For example, if your son gets a priority number of 500 and lives on campus for 5 semesters, he will have priority over students who have lived on campus 4 semesters. Someone who has a priority of 350 and lived on campus 5 semesters would have priority over your son in this example.

I know there are lots of people pinging that server today, but I have to say this is ridiculous. I literally tried all night less a 2hr snooze.

Wallsacefl… NICE! Then I guess working at this is worth it… kinda… yawn…

MrFritz, it is true. Your original date of housing signup and priority number are used each year (not including summer sessions) as long as you don’t move off campus for fall/spring. That means you won’t have to go through this again!

So if your original date is 12/14/11, everyone that has lived on campus continuously will be placed (in ascending numerical order) before anyone who has signed up at a later date. First seniors are given their assignments, since they signed up in 2008, then those admitted in 2009, and so on.

Keep in mind that most DO NOT stay on campus past their freshman year. And many have signed up and received a priority number, even though they will not end up attending FSU. Wait until you see how many of these super-excited “New 'Noles” jump ship as soon as UF’s decisions come out!:frowning:

Even if a priority number seems high, it is not an actual representation of your place in line, and many of my friends who entered FSU in 2010 had numbers in the thousands and still got great housing!
