Does anyone know how the search for a new Head is going?

Rachael Beare is going to Beijing to be DOA for a new school there. Her husband is going as well:

I met both Rachael and her husband last year. They are very nice people. Hope they will do well in Beijing.

Rachael Beare is one of the primary reasons my son now attends THS, from whence he will graduate later this month and attend an Ivy League school in the fall.

When my boy got into Hotchkiss a few years ago, Rachael sent him an acceptance letter that spoke to him, my wife and me as if she knew my child personally and well. It was like no other letter he received from any other prep school then or any college now. From that letter, it was clear that Rachel and her staff had poured over my son’s application closely to understand his backgound, his joys and defeats and that they had spent substantial time weighing whether or not my son would be a good match for Hotchkiss.

My family will always remember with great appreciation Rachael, her insight and kindness. I hope that THS has found a DOA as good as Rachael. I doubt that it could have ever found one better.
