Does NYU, really have a hotel/hospitality management major? What school does it go into also, and is that school hard to get in based on the other schools?

I found the school is School of Continuing and Professional Studies.

bump......

I'm applying as a transfer into the School of Continuing and Professional Studies, except as a Sports Management major. From what I've heard, it's somewhat easier to get accepted to this school, but I'm not going to take anything for granted. I once talked to someone on this board who said he had a 3.65 GPA, 1410 SAT and got $20k in MERIT aid...and usually this stats won't get you anything in one of the harder NYU schools like CAS & Stern.

true. I'm looking at NYU, Cornell, Purdue, FSU, and VT... NYU, Cornell, and Purdue is my top schools right now..

I don't know anything about Purdue, but if you can get in Cornell is definitely the place to go to study Hotel/Hospitality.

I second anton's comment.

Yeah...Cornell is up there in many things and it's Hotel school is one of it's specialties. Michigan State also has a very good hospitality program.

I never heard of any NYU students studying Hotel/Hospitality.

Sounds interesting - I guess I never really new to many students in SCPS
Still - if you have the choice it is Cornell all the way on this one.

I know cornell is the way to go. wanted to go there since 6th grade, but it's going to be very tough..

i have couple of friends that i know in that major, and it seems like a very small major. only like 40+ kids/year i hear with four proffs in the entire major.... i believe that it's easier to getinto than Stern or CAS because their focus is not academic at all. it's more of the practical stuff. just make sure that u show them that u r interested and you are

okay. do you know like what there average sat/gpa is?
