Hotel Interview Advice

I see. so basically a regular resume you would send to an employer.. I made alot of them in school so just making sure..

I did mine in the form of 3 charts on one page (awards, activities, community service)...the information was the same as what you'd put on a resume, just organized differently. You can organize the "resume" however you want. Whatever form is most concise is probably best; you don't want to overdo it, the admissions people have thousands of applications to read. I suggest trying to keep it under two pages (I fit everything on one page using the chart format).

But isnt the resume only read by the interviewer?

So what if it is? The interviewer also has say in whether or not you get in. Who knows though...they might show it to the other admissions people if it's impressive.

jimgotkp- you can also include a copy of your resume w/ your applicatio if you wanted to elaborate and there wasn't space on the common app.

okay. thanks alot yousonofatree and password. also do you know what kind of person does interviews when its in-campus.. like is it an admissions? professor in the hotel school?

Professors and admissions officers. My interviewer was an "admissions counselor".
