<p>Call the hotels directly a couple days beforehand. They often have cancellations. </p>
<p>For anyone interested, I just cancelled a reservation at Country Inn and Suites for a king studio suite. The reservation was for May 2-4, but there is a 2-night minimum. Unfortunately, Slippy only needed 1 night. Best of luck. </p>

<p>I’m going to cancel my Bessemer reservation at Fairfield once I confirm my Hampton Harper Lee. Afraid I’ll be hit with a big rate since we’re arriving Thursday instead of Wednesday, but made the reservation when I thought graduation was going to be Friday! Oh, well, it’s the last time!</p>
