My daughter has scheduled her interview for early October. She is wondering about what to wear. I would assume she should dress as for a business interview, but thought someone at CC might have other suggestions.
Also, I have told her to plan to write an immediate thank you after the interview.
Her resume is almost done, and she is prepared to answer why she wants this program, with appropriate enthusiasm and passion for the field.
Any other suggestions?

Why not let your daughter decide for herself? She after all should be able to vote soon. I think she should know how to dress herself.

I recommend business attire. She should be ready to discuss her resume and interest in hospitality, very important to the hotel school. As for a thank you note, an e-mail the following day is the best way to go. Some interviewers send their review in immediately. If the thank you arrives after this point, it will likely be submitted into her application file.

Definitely business attire. She should look nice, and not casual.

My daughter wore a nice suit. She should wear what is appropriate for a formal business interview. Her interviewer went through her entire resume, and that was the basis for their conversation. Good luck!

Let me ask you this; what would you wear to a REAL business interview for a hotel ops position or a consulting position. I think how you dress say alot about your preparation, maturity, and professionalism. So yeah, dress like you would in a real life.

You should also attend a tour if you are coming on campus. It's a great opportunity for you to get to know the school better and decide whether it's a good fit for you.
