<p>Can someone tell me some reasonable nice hotels near the campus? The closer the better.</p>
<p>The closest is the Medford Hyatt. It’s reasonable because your can get a special Tufts price ($155) for a family-friendly room that includes parking and breakfast. Otherwise, try Priceline name your own price for nearby areas like Arlington and Lexington (Boston-Cambridge will likely cost more). We booked a room that way for Parents Weekend because the Hyatt was booked solid (and books solid one year in advance). We got a room at the Element Lexington for $65.</p>
<p>Try Homewood Suites Arlington</p>
<p>We have stayed at the Hyatt Place in Medford and the Homewood Suites in Arlington. We prefer the Homewood Suites. Surprisingly, we were able to add a second room for parents weekend just last week at the Homewood Suites. I’m not sure when the rate of $155 applies at the Hyatt Place, but we have never been lucky enough to pay such a low rate.</p>
<p>If you can’t book the hotels closest to campus, try these that are located a few towns north of Tufts along Rt. 93 (but south of Rt 128/95). You would only have to drive 5 or 6 miles south on 93 and exit at Medford Square. With a GPS you could also navigate local streets to get to campus if you need to avoid the highway during rush hour.</p>
