House overrun with viewbooks, fact cards, etc

We've narrowed our school list down to the final seven.

What started as a very systematic and rational filing system for admissions literature has quickly devolved into a reality of discovering pieces in very odd, strange places. Son receives so much mail, he could use a dedicated mailbox. He's attended several placement events and filled out as many of those little info cards as he could get his hands on. I don't want to commit some kind of environmental faux pas so what do I do with all this stuff??
(His middle school is already well stocked so they don't want em, I asked).

I managed to give our 20 extra packets to the middle school - even though they were well stocked also - I think I shamed them into it - I just brought them there and said to recycle if she didn't need them.
Maybe the public library?

Thanks Linda, I kept the info for the schools that we're applying and took everything else to the library last weekend. Couldn't believe how heavy this stuff was. They were thrilled to have it and kept thanking me repeatedly. And, I didn't have to play the SHAME card :)

I'm glad that they wanted it!

My 3 sons all currently attend the only public school in a very small community. I too am overrun with view books and have many duplicates so I read your posts with interest. About a week ago we had parent/teacher conferences at the middle and high school. I stopped in the guidance office and offered to bring in my extra stuff for the kids. Honestly you would have thought I had 3 heads and was speaking in tongues by the look on the guidance officers face! Needless to say the extras are still in a pile on the dining room floor. Maybe I will have better luck at the library!

Our house is also flooded with view books. We have never requested any , neither did we show interest. Kids are participants of talent searches, hence the commotion.
I am just tossing them to our recycle bin. If I dared to show them to our GC, I am sure I would get the same kind of face :)
