<p>also if you choose non honors now and then want honors housing later are you allowed to switch the following years (U of alabama has a rule that if you dont have honors housing freshman year you can never switch to it)</p>

<p>From comments on here, students seem pretty happy in the Towers. </p>
<p>You can live in regular housing freshman year and apply for honors sophomore year. DD was in Sutherland this year and will be in Craig-Forbes (honors apartments) next year. Everyone re-applies.</p>
<p>Honors college students do not have to take any honors courses. The only designation of honors would be if a student chooses to do the B.Phil. degree; I think there is some type of research required. I am not certain if there are course requirements for that.</p>
