Hey,

I'm majoring in engineering this coming fall, and I'm currently deciding apon housing. So, which would you guys recommend, Herget or the ERC?

Also, what should be my second choice on the housing app for regular dorms (i.e. McVoy, Miller) in terms of house nice the dorm is?

thanks

kids in erc are a bit strange, but the rooms are nice
herget’s fire alarms get pulled weekly at odd hours. i’d stay away, though i’ve heard there’s a good sense of community.
personally, i live in the honors dorms (east laville) and like it. next year, it will be west laville, which will be newly redone.

feel free to ask any questions

ERC would probably be your best bet since that’s your major. My friend lives there, and he loves it.

I would stay away from Hegret if you didn’t want fire alarms to go off at 3 in the morning.

McVoy is kind of nice, but the structure is kind of weird in the room though. The traditional side of Blake Hall is very nice. It’s set up just like the ERC. The Pentagon dorms I’ve heard are just okay, but I think they are going to be remodeled pretty soon.
