Housing Application Now On TritonLink MyApplication!!

Got the email.

Gonna start now. Everyone else get this?

Welcome to UC San Diego's Housing and Dining program!

You are getting this email because you have sent your Statement of Intent to Register to UCSD and have applied for housing on campus. Now it is time to fill out some forms, sign the contract, and make the $500 prepayment on your Housing. Please follow the instructions below by June 30, 2006:

Go to http://myapplication.ucsd.edu to log on to Application Tracking.

Enter your Application ID number, Date of Birth, and City of Birth and hit the SUBMIT button.

Scroll down until you see "My Checklist".

Click on the HOUSING CONTRACT link to begin the contract process.

(You will need your PID and PAC number to complete the process.) Follow the instructions on each page as it takes you through entering your emergency contact information, filling out your Personal History Form, signing your housing contract, and making a $500 prepayment to hold your space.

The deadline for completing the entire contract process is June 30, 2006. The system is regularly open from 7am to midnight, however we very strongly suggest you avoid starting your contract process after 11pm as the system will drop all sessions in midstream when our system clock strikes midnight.

If you have questions about completing this process, please email housinginfo@ucsd.edu or call our main line at 858-534-4010. Phone lines will be very busy today as it is the first day to sign and pay. Please be patient as customer service representatives return all the calls that may fall into voicemail.

IMPORTANT: The deadline is June 30, 2006 and we encourage you not to wait until that last date to make your inquiries.

It is too early in the timeframe to be able to tell you exactly where your student will be housed. Room Assignments will be communicated to you later in the summer. Check this UCSD email account regularly for any new information.

Thank you!

Have fun guys!

about time...

damn... the contract is huge...

... Actually not really. It's really short...
Wish I could just finish the contract here and now but I'm at school so I'd have to wait until about 6 this evening to send it in.

Hope I don't regret some of the options I put in the preference survey.
Maybe I should ask for a clean roommate...

shouldnt matter when we send it right? like if i do it this weekend as opposed to doing it right now?

I just did mine but I don't think it matters when you fill it out. Also it says you can update your personal preferences (like smoking or non-smoking) up until June 30th.

by smoking they mean cigarattes right? heh.. stupid question probably.

dont forget to ask for a straight one

do you think i'll be able to get a single since i signed up today? i kind of hope it's a first come first served thing but maybe it's not...

Housing Admissions, Housing Admissions, make me a match...

dusk123:

doesn't the housing stuff go in the order of when you submitted the housing application before june 4? so people who submitted their housing application probably right after or on march 18 (when the letters came out) get first priority...

nooooo...darn. I signed up on March 24 so I probably won't get it... :(

noo...i signed up march 27th...my chances are worse than yours :(

ahhh! idylliwindll, let's just hope that everyone who signed up before us decide to cheap out and get doubles or triples instead...I mean don't most people look forward to living with a roomie?

Is it actually important to ask for a straight roomate? I mean what are the chances. But I dunno.

Would this go under "other considerations" or whatever it said. I left it blank.

yea! dusk123!! lets hope for the best :) btw which college are you in? im in roosevelt!

as for the straight question: 1. they say they dont house people with regards to race, religion, sexual orientation etc.
and 2. even if you do put it, how the hell are they supposed to know if the other person is straight or not?

think about it kids.

haha that is SO true! how could you possibly know

so..priority is based on when u signed up for the housing thing in march? and not now? so it doesn't matter when I fill it out now? :( aww ****kk

it obviously doesn't matter if you can change your survey up until the deadline....
