:)

Yup. I'm in ERC too!

so..priority is based on when u signed up for the housing thing in march? and not now? so it doesn't matter when I fill it out now? :( aww ****kk

How can all of you be so primitive...I mean really, are you all THAT worried about getting a homosexual roommate? Quite honestly you've all made me lose complete faith in humanity but even more disconcertingly, in UCSD...

haha. approximately 2 people were saying that out of how many? some people are not accepting of all. thats a fact that you have to learn to deal with. im glad you're going to college. =] it seems like it will be an eye opening experience for you.

I realize that, but foolishly thought UCSD was not Bob Jones University.

College is eye-opening for everyone, and hopefully it will do the same for those "2" people...pox on their houses! :)

you cant ask for race either??!?!?!

thats not good..

I think now you just want to egg me on.

I tend to side with lecorbeau on this one. (By the way, isn't this the kid who spent a year living in France? I think he might have an acquired maturity and global perspective that others may never posses.)

Folks, for the record, intolerance (of any kind) isn't something you "learn to deal with".

And kenneth2005, I sincerely hope you were joking... ;)

"you cant ask for race either??!?!?!

thats not good.."

i don't think he is joking.
a. in the "what did you put" thread, he put in the write in section "chinese, straight, etc"

you really do need to learn to deal with it if you want to get anywhere in life. you can try to enlighten people on the way, but it will not work most of the time.

Thank god UCSD has 20,000+ students.

HA! lecorbeau, we need to hang out.

Hmm, I still don't buy the whole tolerating intolerance thing. Doesn't sit well with me, I'm afraid. Enlighten, sure, but you can't ignore injustice 'cause it's incovenient.

Nieck, I'm not trying to put words in your mouth. Well... I lied. I completely am. :)

the fuick,,,, it won't let me sign in...

PID is the PIN right?

do you guys put in the dashes and everything?

elizabeth: i could tell you were. lol. =] because i never said ignore. and i don't think injustice should be ignored. it should be shouted from the rooftops, but people will be pig-headed so you have to deal with it.

and senson: i don't put the dashes, but i don't think it matters. if you are doing that, try it without. and good luck. i hope you can get in.

On the Gay roommate note, I certainly wouldn't mind having one. Gay people are awesome! I'd just have to ask him that we both agree to not bring any others into the room with uh... 'promiscuous' thoughts....

And on the racial note.....my respect for Californian citizens just dropped...I thought we were supposed to be forward thinkers, guys.....

Woah, you guys took that way out of hand. I have absolutely nothing against gays or lesbians in fact some of my good friends are. It's just that if you're sharing a tiny room etc. with someone it could possibly be kind of weird.

Sorry if I offended anyone I didn't mean to cause any harm.

Homosexuals aren't robots programmed to be attracted to EVERY person of the same sex they see. They, like heterosexuals, have standards, preference, etc.

I haven't encountered one homosexual person that made a move on someone they knew to be straight. I hate how homosexuality in our society is painted as a sort of perversion...

But really, no offense taken. You're just lucky there were no militant homosexuals in this forum :)
