The housing application is now available for new students.
If you tried doing the application online this morning at 9 AM, I don’t think “available” is the description that comes to mind.
I did not try to use it. I have to wait until my D gets home this afternoon. The website did say it would be slow because of high volume.
Slow is an understatement
I was told I could go back in and add additional choices after I did the “Apply (Do this first)” step and made the payment. I went back under step 1 and selected “Update Room / Plan Preferences” but the drop down list for Application Period is empty so I can’t do anything else.
Anyone else having this problem?
My D started filing out the housing application late yesterday afternoon. We were ready to pay and then the application got hung and we have not been able to access it again last night or this morning. Has anyone been able to apply? I will be calling housing this morning to complain and ask for help.
Good news, Did manage to finalize the housing application and pay. The payment function would not work, so had to call housing to get it to work. Internet explorer works best even though the online application says Firefox works. I was amused that I was having a hard time giving the university money. Usually taking your money is what universities are good at doing.
Hi unc1957,
So your D confirmed to enroll in DAAP ID program? My D will be her classmate in the fall. She applied the housing on Feb. 04.
CTID parent, My D is confirmed for DAAP ID. She applied for Housing on 2/4. She was accepted into the Honors program also and selected Turner as her first choice with the other honors housing options for her other choices. She is very excited about the DAAP ID program, especially the co-op program. We are from NC, and I expect no one else from her high school will be attending Cincinnati even with a graduating class of 650 students. Most ID kids in NC go to NC State (but they only take 16 kids in their program) or Appalachian State (a relatively new program that just received accreditation). She is going to need a real winter coat and snow boots!
HI UNC1957,
My D got into horrors as well, and Turner is also her first choice. She attended DAAP summer camp last year, and liked Turner very much. We are from CT, pretty much sure she will be the only one going to Cincinnati for college this year.
congrats to you all…our D is a freshman this year in ID DAAP. we are from maryland and she was very lonely first semester when there were long weekends because most of the campus would be empty due to so many locals going home. My D had gotten in to appalachan state and she loved the campus but last year the ID program was not accreditated yet so when she got into UC and we heard it was the #1 program in the country we told her that was where she was going.
