Housing Assignment...Late?

Seems like there is a delay for my housing assignment:

"You have not yet been assigned for this housing term. We will often delay the assignments of some students in order to see if additional spaces will open up in halls that might be more preferable to them and their class standing (for example, returning residents in suites and apartments with upper-class students, and new first-year students in traditional halls in North Hill and North Campus). We make every effort to finalize assignments as soon as possible. Click here for further information."

Has anyone else (basically people already attending MD) have had their room assignments delayed? And if so, did you have to wait a long time? I'm a tad anxious...

FYI: They got my housing agreement and such on April 27th, 2006.

That's why. Wasn't the deadline May 1st? The later you got it in, the less priority you have. I got mine in Feb 18th or something like that. Most likely you will be in a triple or quad.

that doesn't sound good, lol.

at least i WILL get a room...right?

I'd call or email the res life people - it sounds like they are trying to match you up to your class - e.g. not be sitting in a dorm with a bunch of upperclassmen and missing out on stuff with your peers.

I emailed them with a question on bed lofts - and they got right back to me to same day.
