Housing at penn

I read somewhere on here that housing was really bad (except the quad), but i cant find the thread. Is this the case?

Do you believe everything you read? I don't think that all housing except the Quad is terrible and I have been in every housing unit at least once. Not true.

Well i thought they all looked nice online, but i never got a chance to see any houses other than the quad on my visit. Good to know, though.

I think the Quad is really overrated, and that Kings Court is really underrated.

hahah you probably live in kings court. the quad is sooooooooo beautiful. its so nice to come back to drunk at 4 in the morning. like right now.

Don't live in Sansom East/West. I is a virtual crackhouse...

Chocoman.....about the AC

Yeah the lack of AC does suck. alot.

Great off-campus housing, though.

are u required to live on campus first year?

could someone rank housing for us and tell what are the pros/cons for each one...or at least point us out to a thread like that. I want real Quaker views on the subject. :)

26e its the opposite. i went stayed at penn in the quad for 6 weeks during the precollege program. the a/c does suck, it breaks at least once week. the only thing about the quad that i didn't like was sharing the bathroom. there are 2 bathrooms with 2 showers in each for every hall shared between like 15-20 people.

the other housings at the HIGH RISES are nice, my counselor stayed there. every room is like a mini suite with a bathroom in each room. its like a hotel.

if it wasn't for the bathrooms in quad, or lack or them, i would choose it over the other housings because its nice. theres a grass field outside and its just a nice surrounding.

u don't have to live on campus the first year, but if u do, than u MUST live in the quad. The quad is for freshmans and graduates.
