Is the Quad worth the hype?

...because I hear a lot of great things about it, like that people make friends really fast, but I also hear you might get stuck with a pretty small room and the bathrooms aren't great. Is there an option anyone thinks is better or is it worth trying for?
Also, when people say the quad is really "social," does this mean this is where all the frat/sororiety/big partiers live? I'm not huge partier (I know, Penn is the social lvy lol) and I'm not sure this is the place for me to live, but if "social" just means everyone is generally nice and makes friends quickly, then I'd like it.
If anyone wants to speak about any of the other dorms or Freshex, feel free! Thank you!

Frats and sororities are away from the college houses - although the freshmen rushing and pledging them will live in all of the college houses.

I lived in Kings Court this year and I can say it was a really amazing experience. Everyone was super nice and friendly. Next year, we’ll all be pretty much living with each other. Our hall had an instant connection that I know some halls in the Quad didn’t have.

I think when people describe the Quad as “social” they are referring to the abundance of Freshmen and freshmen geared social events that take place at the Quad. I attended Scholars Preview a few weeks ago and staid in a Highrise, which was clearly a nicer option than the Quad dorms, but my host did state that she had to make an effort to meet freshmen and attend events and gatherings because most of these take place on the Quad.

My decision to live in the Quad (atleast put them all down as first choices) came down to the fact that Quad is primarily for freshmen, the Highrises and other dorms will always be there later. The most important thing for me is bonding with fellow incoming students.

Kings Court however, I hear is an incredible dorm option as well  i think all the dorms are great in their own ways so don’t stress too much!!
