Housing at UCI: How do I apply?

I plan on dorming at UCI in the 2017 Fall term but in my portal in the “Apply for Housing” tab, apparently I am “not eligible to apply for housing at this time.” However in my financial aid package, it seems like my costs for attending was $33,000 which should include housing! What should I do?

Have you submitted your SIR yet? I was at a UCI event last week, and they said that you are not eligible to apply for housing until 24 hours after submitting your SIR. Thus, even though SIR and housing are “due on 5/1,” you must submit your SIR by 4/30 in order to apply for housing by 5/1.
