Hello guys,
I just got my housing assignment by email and found out that I'm assigned to one of the few quads at Donlon. I was wondering how the quads look like. So is it simply two rooms with a common room? and is it relatively spacious?

lmao! pwnt!

jk, I rarely engage in any such talk. Here’s a little help though, [Housing - Mary Donlon Hall](<a href=“Residential Life | Student & Campus Life | Cornell University”>Residential Life | Student & Campus Life | Cornell University)

Donlon is effing amazing, and living in a quad is even better. I’ve asked my hallmates who lived in the Donlon quads how they liked it and they said they wouldn’t have it any other way. The rooms are only slightly smaller than regular doubles, but you get a common room in between the two rooms (so basically 2 double rooms attached by a common room). All the desks are in the common room and the beds, closets, and drawers are in the two other rooms. There are doors in between the bedrooms and the common room as well.

Is it true that Donlon’s REALLY noisy and you can’t get your work done? ;/

Yeah, to some people it can be a bit noisy, but it doesn’t matter because there’s a HUGE study library on the first floor (which people refer to as the “Morgue” haha) which is DEAD silent. It’s like a holy rule that people dont talk or hang out in there since they understand that studying on the floors is a bit difficult. I always studied there and a lot of my hallmates did too. It’s such a great study area that some people from other dorms come to study there too.

It’s really the best of both worlds. Having a great social dorm (since the layout naturally makes people meet each other) and having a quiet place to study.
