Housing Deadline...?....?

I know we are getting close to the “Decision/Signing Day” where our kids needs to commit. However I see there are several of us still waiting on decisions and may miss out on housing (on campus)… In my case, my DD decided at the last minute to apply to UCF. She was already accepted to several OOS schools, but the COA is way out of reach, even after scholarships and grants.

For those of you that are still waiting and anticipate accepting, do you have a plan B for housing? I have researched several off site student housing options, but the reviews are mixed. The “nicer ones” all seem to be yearly contracts as well (My DD plans on doing academic year only.).

Thanks and good luck to everyone! Go Knights!

It is possiable to take a year round apartment and then sublease. My DD is subleasing this summer.

If I can avoid it, I would rather not have to sublease. Where does your DD live, if you don’t mind me asking?

Does she like it?

Our DD is in Lake Claire. She does like it as it is very convenient and has a kitchen.

That’s great. Thx for the info!

I am a transfer and was accepted 2/26 for fall. Since I have to live off campus and Northview is ful, I am going to be living at Hub on campus.

We have housing deposits down in 3 schools that have limited housing. We decided to sacrifice the cancellation fees. Kinda stinks, but I don’t see my son making a decision yet and we wanted him to have housing on campus.
