Housing for Late admissions/Appeals

I just got in through an appeal. The housing site said that housing isn't guaranteed for appeal admits.
Does this mean I have to get off-campus housing? I'm kinda lost.. any suggestions?

I wouldn't worry too much. I am in the same boat because, although I am not an appeal admit, I turned in my housing application late.

I talked with a UCLA representative and he told me that new on-campus dorms have opened so that there should be plenty of room to accomodate people in our situation. In addition, I called a housing representative today, and he told me I will get offers in the following weeks or even days.

Im guessin itll all be good.

I called today and the housing representative said that I would be put in a lottery and won't find out until Aug 1st.

NOTA, did you apply online already, or will they contact you?

I applied online like 5 days after the deadline.

I did send in a letter appealing my late status since I did have special circumstances, but the representative on the phone said he knew nothing of the letter or at least there was no mention of it when he looked up my ID.

they told me to email the housing and then the housign will extend my application.

i got in through the housing lottery this year. it was harder because sproul was closed and there weren't enough dorms for everyone. within 2 weeks after the start of school, i was notified that there was an open space in one of the dorms. if you don't accept, you're moved to the bottom of the waitlist so i suggest you accept if you really want it (esp freshman). lottery is first come first serve like a waitlist, even though the "lottery" name suggests otherwise
