Housing for three?

HI! I've been admitted to UCI
and two of my close friends have too!
I was wondering if there was a way the three of us can room together.
And how the rooms were? Would it be cheaper to room with three
rather than two?
Thanks!

Yes, there are triples at UCI so you guys can room together. You just have to request each other and they should take care of that for you. Living in a triple is fairly cheaper than living in a double ([UC Irvine Student Housing - Housing Rates](http://www.housing.uci.edu/rates.asp)). From what I’ve seen, a triple in Middle Earth is really cramped but a triple in Mesa Court is more spacious.

I live in a triple as of this year and me and my 2 friends from hs were lucky enough to get the biggest triple on campus.

Request to be roommates and put the same preferences down and you guys should get it.

As far as price goes, triples are definitely a LOT cheaper than doubles which is the reason why the three of us went for a triple.

Middle Earth’s triple’s are cramped like hyukmin said and are guaranteed to have a bunk bed while if you get a newer phase Mesa Court hall and are lucky enough to get a former study room (such as 301S - for study room), you will have the biggest triple’s on campus and be able to set your room up so you all have single beds instead of a bunk bed.
