I'm applying to Chapman as a transfer student, I live far enough away from campus where I'd probably need to move out of my family's home. I know housing can be difficult to get if you're not a freshman or sophomore. But since I would be coming in as a transfer student, I wouldn't know anyone who would want to move into an off-campus house and I definitely can't afford to have one for myself. So, what are my chances of getting a dorm on campus? Does anyone have any figures on how many transfer students live on campus? Any info would be great.

Call the housing department. They will let you know if they save any rooms for transfer students. The university is set in a residential area, surrounded by houses. Many of these homeowners rent a single room to a student, with a bathroom. It usually comes with kitchen and laundry privileges. The typically cost $600 per month. In some cases, you will have a shorter walk to class than you would from the dorms. Also, it is possible to buy a commuter meal plan at the cafeteria.
