Hi, I have decided to go to Wellesley next fall. I sent in my deposit by mail. When I received my admission packet, I did not have any housing forms? I know that other schools require the housing forms completed by May 1.
Does Wellesley not have housing forms, etc, till May 26, when MyWellesley opens? I only got the financial aid information and small envelope for deposit when I received the packet. Can anybody give me any information?
Thanks so much.

I did not have any housing info in my admission packet either.
Congrats, I decided to come too!!! Did u go to SOC?

Enrolled students should get another packet in the mail after May 1st (closer to the end of May). That packet will have much more info, including a very short housing questionnaire.

I couldn’t go to SOC, sadly, but I was able to go visit a few weeks before. Wellesley is so beautiful. I can’t wait!
Thanks for your responses (:

Housing forms don’t come out until after May 1. Towards the end of May you will get a packet in the mail with your housing form, option to buy your class picture/ class t-shirt, some information about Orientation, some other forms… If I remember correctly, the housing form was due around mid-June, so don’t worry about it right now!

What kind of questions do they ask you in roommate pairing and, historically, how well has it worked in pairing compatible people? Also, after we send in all of our housing forms, when are we notified of the outcome? Are we sent roommate contact info before we actually get to campus, how does that work, etc.?

If they haven’t changed the form from three years ago, it includes questions about what time range you go to bed (it was basically sometime before midnight, around midnight, after midnight), how tidy/messy you are, if you smoke/if you would be ok with a roommate who smoked, if you’re a day/night person, what type of music you listen to, etc.

I would say the rooming is based on luck. In my case, it worked out really well, but I know some people who had to switch roommates. The housing office is accommodating when it comes to first year housing switches, but I wouldn’t say that a lot of people have to change.

You will be sent roommate information when you find out what residence hall and room you will be living in. My year it was sent by email, but now it might just be announced on MyWellesley, the online portal that you use before you come to Wellesley to access information, forms, etc (you’ll get more info about log-in info and all that sometime soon as well). I remember getting the name, address, and phone number of my roommate.
