hey guys...so i'm an incoming freshman doing my housing application. i definitely want to live in the quad...so the three quad houses are my first three choices.

however, we have to give six choices. i assume that because i know what houses i don't want to live in (harrison, harnwell, rodin, king's court, and du bois), my other three choices must be hill, gregory, and stouffer.

i have no idea what order i should put these three houses.

any input/experience? are these three houses the ones that freshman typically put after the quad houses? thank you!

Hill is almost all freshman and is very social. Aside from the lack of AC (which is also the case at gregory) hill provides a great freshman experience. After hill you should have kc as your next choice because it is the third place that is mostly freshman. Stouffer is great if you really want a single, but aside from that I wouldn't live there or in gregory.

thanks! would it be bad to only put down 4 choices?

If you only put down 4 choices, they'll randomly assign you something after those if you don't get those. (If you put Quad as the top 3 and something else for the 4th, you'll likely get the 4th anyway).

is it safe to assume that if i don't get the quad (even when i applied to two res. programs), that i'll probably get my 4th choice (hill)?

No. I don't think thats a fair assumption. But I do believe that where ever you end up you'll be happy. Make sure you keep your door open the first few weeks. Everyone else is in the same boat as you are when you first get here so thats the best time to make friends.
