What do you think my chances are at getting a suite in North? I really want a suite, but I heard the chances were really low. I I sent in my enrollment deposit in early January.
@belindakoboi By suite do you mean apartment? North apartments have 4 single bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, and living room. A LOT of upperclassmen and first-years are moving off campus (at least in my house) and frankly I don’t even think we’ll have enough people to fill all the apartments, so you may still have a chance at getting one. Last year housing messed up and gave some first years apartments when they weren’t supposed to, but this year there may actually be space in them. Also since you put down your deposit pretty early, you have a better chance.
Infinitesimally small, they’re the first rooms to be taken by upperclassmen. First years only get apartments if housing screws up.
Rooms are also assigned by housing to first-years. Even if some apartments filter down to first-years (for instance, if most of your future house moves off campus), any given first-year’s chances of receiving one are low.
@aykt4245 @HydeSnark @DunBoyer I really want a suite-style room, like those that first year students in MaxP have, but I really hate the orange-ness of the building. North would be my top choice. What would you recommend that I fill out in the housing form?
@belindakoboi That kind of room only exists in Max P.
@HydeSnark Thank you!
Can you tell me what houses are in which buildings on north? Are their certain floors? Which ones are located higher up? Do they change every year?
