Housing offer question

Hey guys! So I got my housing offer and I was wondering how you know if you got a single-sex floor? My offer said: RoomType: RH Std Double; Location: Unit 3. So yeah... does this mean I got an all female floor?

Hello fellow bear! Yeah I got RH Unit 3 double as well, but I doubt it is an all guys/girls floor. Most of them are coed anyways. It probably means regular housing?

It should be a co-ed floor then. Unless mentioned otherwise, “Std” means it’ll be a normal double/triple.

I got RH Std Unit 2 Double, when do we find out what type of floor we’re in?

UGHHHH. I got a triple in CKC, when I was looking for a triple in the Units. I mostly want units/foothill because it’s closer to the classes I will be taking. But is the distance from CKC to campus really that big of a deal. I hear it’s possible to transfer to another dorm, but only AFTER you accept the housing offer… How likely would it be for me to transfer from CKC to a triple in one of the units if I do this?

I’ve heard that if people want to transfer, it would be to the units so you’ll be among many for only limited places… although there’d probably be more transfer requests to unit doubles than triples

I got a triple in Unit2…Actually I prefer double room or triple in CKC because I heard that there would be only two closets in Unit2 triple. Sad:(

^Be positive :)! CKC is quite far from campus + more closets = more things to pack home when the school year is over :P.

Haha!Thank u, Pixel2012~

For those who are concerning about switching out, it is best to email them now that you want to switch out. Accept your offer and pray that you will get off the waitlist. The earlier you get on the waitlist, the higher chance you’ll have to switch to the dorm you want.

If money is the issue, stress it in your email. One of my friends switched from Bowles to Unit 3 Quad b/c of his financial reasons. Another friend of mine didn’t switch out until his 2nd semester (mainly due to the connection; he knew someone who had connection with the dorming people; so if you can find someone who has connections, ask them!).

You’ll find out your floor later on when it’s closer to August, around the time you find your roommate (from what I remember). Your floor and room number will be there, along with your building. 6th floor is normally the all girls floor for Unit 3.

I do NOT have an application button on the portal, I have not received any email, and my application still says that it is under review… what should I do!

If you can’t find the Application button, log out, wait a while and log back in again. Repeat until it shows up :p

Thanks for the help guys! I called them and they basically said that you find out if you’re single-sex or co-ed in August, which is when you find out about your floor as well.
