housing options

hey im having a hard time picking preferences for housing... i heard birnkrant and fluor are 'fun dorms' and also relatively nice does anyone know if this is true? i want a dorm building with a fun ambience but i dont want communal bathrooms so i want it relatively nice... suggestions??

There are lots of threads that discuss everything you just asked; do a little searching and you can find them! There is an older housing thread that recently was resurrected that has great information.

Just a note, though – these are college dorms. You can’t expect a Beverly Hilton-style hotel room. Nothing is going to be 100% “nice.” Some buildings have been recently renovated or are newer. If newness and less people to a bathroom is really most important to you, I’d suggest you should be looking at Parkside and Arts & Humanities.

Birnkrant this year is for honors students, apparently.

Fluor was my freshman dorm. It’s not a party dorm like New North, but it was social. It was crappy when I lived there, though; I heard it’s been slightly renovated. You share a bathroom with 7 other people, so it does have than advantage over the bog dorms like Marks, where you share with 40+ people.
