Housing prices

I am considering attending a summer program at Cornell that does not provide on-campus housing. Can a current student give me a rough idea of the housing prices in the immediate area?

they are mostly 300-600$ per month. depends on what type, where, and if you include utiltiiteis. go on craigslist and search

Isn't staying in one of the frat houses during the summer dirt cheap?

yeah many people are already posting sublet ads...

check out ithaca.craigslist.org

Four Bedroom House Available Pets OK Dates Negotiable

that one is only 275 per month

uh are you kidding anbuitachi? that place is far...so unless the kid has a car...

haha yea its a bit far, should be okay with a bike though, but its cheap!

I rented out my place last summer and found that really the market price is max 400/month.

the best buildings are 312 college ave, 400 college ave, 407 college ave, 319 college ave. These are all really close proximity to campus. Same with eddygate or mostly anything on college, dryden or linden.

anything on stewart and many of the frat houses are down the hill and farther away from college town, which can be annoying in the hot summer when walking to class or trying to go get food or go to bars.

since the market rate is around 400 tops for some of the nicest buildings, if i were you, i would try to keep my eyes peeled for a good deal. If you keep looking around, you can find a room in one of the nicer buildings for cheap.

Also, since there are many more people looking to sublet than needed, you can sometimes get a whole apartment to yourself so that you dont end up living with people you dont know.

many people havent even started posting sublets yet, i personally set up my sublet last year in mid may. you will have no problem finding a place, so i suggest waiting it out to find a good deal on a good location.

Thanks everybody!
