This isn't another roommate issue, but its a messed up situation.

So ive recently moved in to an apartment on campus with 4 random guys and im in a double with 1 person with 3 other singles in the apartment.
I havent felt too good about this move though because there are a couple cons that go with it (although there are a lot of pros too).

I thought I could sublet my offcampus apartment that I rented last quarter with one of my best friends. BUT the landlord is firmly against me subletting my space, and I obviously haven't thought it through enough i guess.

So, now im torn between moving back off campus and living with my best friend again or i could stay on campus while paying both ways (on-campus and off-campus)

Pros for On Campus:
Im closer to my friends and classes
I can wake up later because i already live at school
No hassle of having to drive to school and back
No need to worry about anyone messing with my car or getting in an accident
I have a meal swipes

Cons for On Campus:
Im living with people I dont really know and probably wont get to know very well considering that were in different grades with different friend groups
My housemates are relatively noisy, not too bad but obviously not as peaceful as when i only shared an apartment with 1 other person
I have to pay both ways (for my oncampus room and off campus room because i cant just screw over my previous roommate)
I dont get to have a car for those late night cravings

Based on my list of main pros and cons, should I try to talk to the housing advisor to ask for a cancellation? Also, based on any previous knowledge or having any friends experience this, would housing advisors be likely to cancel my housing contract if I tell them that it's tough for me to be paying for both sides and afford all the food and book...etc that I want?

P.S. although I could afford paying for the apartment on campus and off campus, it does take a lot out of my college fund (around 5-7k) and I wasnt fully aware of the entire situation at the time I accepted the housing offer. I was hoping to be able to sublet but its 100% sure not going to happen. So now that I found that out, I really would rather use that money for a senior trip or someting else than let it go to waste like this.
