Housing Q.

Just gonna toss out a relevant question... what are the odds that in a Ruggles suite, and me having a double with someone who plans to study abroad second semester, that they fill it with some random stranger for that second semester?

very high. the only people i've heard of getting to keep a double as a single is when their roommate moves out mid-semester. all the ppl i know that studied abroad had their rooms filled after they left.

that's typically true (because they have a roughly equal # of people coming back from Study Abroad for 2nd semester as they do leaving for study abroad in 2nd semester), but will be less true for smaller doubles, particularly in corridor-style buildings.

If you held a gun to my head and forced me to pick a number i'd say 75% likely it'll be filled. I certainly knew of exceptions.
