<p>Soo, housing is due in a couple of days, but I've been really stuck on whether or not to do Balch or coed. At first, I wanted to do coed because I wanted to get to know more people and it seemed more fun. And Balch seemed antisocial and boring. But now I've heard the Balch rooms are MUCH better and it's quieter, and therefore makes studying easier. Also, Balch girls tend to develop really close relationships. Does anyone have previous experiences or advice on what to choose? Thanks!</p>
<p>I lived in Balch, it was really awesome, choose it. (I have written more about this in other Balch-related threads lately, and so have other people, so you should look at those too.)</p>
<p>If larger, quieter rooms are important to you, then go with Balch. I did form very close relationships with my Balch friends, but that doesn’t mean that everyone does. It tends to be much quieter/not as social as other dorms, but no matter where you live it’ll be up to you to put the effort into having the social life you want. </p>
<p>Like faustarp, I loved my Balch experience, but I understand it’s not for everyone. It really depends on your own personality and what you’re looking for in terms of housing.</p>
