Ok, i submitted my SIR, now how do I apply for housing? I clicked on the link for it and went under the application tab, but there is no link to a form or something like that. I'm confused..........

I may be wrong, but I remember reading on the UCSB site that we will apply for housing in mid-may.

This is from the housing website:
Incoming UCSB freshmen admitted for fall quarter will have access to the online residence hall contract by mid-May as long as their Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) is submitted by the campus deadline. Students who submit an SIR after May 1 will be offered a contract only if space becomes available.

New Freshman Application

No, it's already available. I actually already sent mine in. You have to fill out an online form once you have your username or whatever (your umail) and then you have to download a PDF, fill it out, then fax it or send it in by mail. My question is whether we get a chance to say more about ourselves than how late we stay up. I was hoping they would match us up by what kind of music, movies, etc. we like.

are freshman and transfer housing procedure the same way? like if you sign your sir after may 1st you only get a contract if space is available? after reading here: Housing Applications: Transfer Student Information

seems june first is the deadline.

For transfers it's the same as the transfer SIR of June 1st.

After I filed my SIR, I downloaded a pdf form (the contract), then went online and filled out this form asking my preferences, then sent everything in. That was about 2 weeks ago. NOW WHAT DO I DO?

Now you wait for them housing deadline to end, June 1st , because its not first come first serve, then they will contact you with the next step.
