Housing Reassignment (Sophomores) AHH

Hey Everyone
I'm kinda in a strange predicament. Entering sophomore next fall, just found out my reassignment request went through. However, my friends and I applied for it together and they were sent to Troy Hall in a triple and I'm now in Cardinal Garden with three strangers. Just called housing and they're not sure what happened either... so is there anything that can be done at this point or should I just wait it out till september? I'm not sure how comfortable I feel with three random people and I'm don't have that much time left to deal with USC Housing because I'm about to leave the US for the summer, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Well if you called housing already and they couldn’t fix it for you, then you’re out of luck. What did they say?

So basically, you were planning to reassign to a quad?

If Housing can’t help you after, this period of housing reassignment ends in July, I believe. Then you can apply again for reassignment, so I suggest you try doing that if Housing isn’t able to fix it.

We were hoping to get a quad… but for some reason it didn’t go through exactly as planned. The housing people I’ve called have no idea why it ended up this way since it shouldn’t have and no one’s been able to help. For the after-july option, does that reassignment work the same as the way it worked last time (as in I won’t end up somewhere worse if I can’t be placed in one of my stated places)?

Yup! They’ll only place you in one of the preferences you list down for reassignment.

Sorry to hear that dude.

I think that’s how it was with all transfer housing.

If you feel like you don’t want to live there. Let me know, because I wasn’t able to get housing at all so I’m in desperate need of it. I’ll be glad to take the place if you’re not satisfied. Just let me know.

Good luck!
