Housing Recommendations?

Hello!

I have just been accepted to Florida Atlantic University as an out of state student, and I was wondering if you guys could give any recommendations on housing?
I visited the Honors College last year (I used to live in Florida, but I now reside in Louisiana) but I was never able to visit the main campus. FAU is my safety school, but I do like to be prepared! Any advice would be welcome too!
Also, can you apply for housing without having to make an admission decision? I know other universities offer that option, but it was hard to find any information on FAU’s website on this.

Thanks so much again!

I would highly recommend you do a housing tour. You can check out the different dormitories online at fau.edu/housing to get an idea about the look/cost/layout but you should really see it in person to get an appreciation for the space.

I can tell you that Parliament Hall is the newest dormitory. Innovation Village is the most expensive, and furthest, but closest to the stadium. Glades Park Towers is the closest dorm to the Breezeway, the main thoroughfare to most academic buildings.

There are also off-campus housing options like University View, University Square and University Park.
