lol, i'm pretty sure you're right about the last sentence. so we get our housing information late March? Is this the same time as RD get their housing information? I read that ED students always get their first choice so I'm wondering if that is still true.

haha, i'll make an attempt with AdmissionsDaniel's advice. so excited though

ED students get their housing info about a month earlier than RD students do. I think ED's do always get their first choice, but one of my friends who did ED didn't get his first choice. So I am not so sure. But Ed's do have priority over the RD's.

oh i c. so ED gets it late march and RD gets it late april.

oh, i just got my packet from the mail. Everything is old news though

ED admits will get there housing information in late march when we mail the RD decisions. RD admits get their housing information as follow-up to the submission of their candidate reply form. The earlier the submit the form, the earlier they get the housing information.

Since housing assignments are based on the date the housing forms are returned with housing deposits, ED students have an advantage because they can return their forms sooner than RD students. If an ED admit does not delay in returning their forms, there is a strong possibility they will get their first choice. Nothing is guaranteed though.

Housing assignments are made according to the results of two computerized random sorts. This allows all students who return all of their housing packet materials (contract, roommate questionnaire and room holding deposit) by the deadlines set forth therein, equal opportunity to get a low (better) sort number.

Early Admission Students:

Any early admit students’ application materials (contract, roommate questionnaire and room holding deposit) received by April 28th, will be randomly sorted and assigned random sort numbers. If an early admission students misses the April 28th deadline, his or her contract will be placed in the regular decision random sort.

Regular Decision Students:

All regular decision application materials (contract, roommate questionnaire and room holding deposit), including early admits received after the deadline, that meet the May 26th deadline will be part of the second random sort, and will likewise receive a random sort number. The second random sort will begin where the Early Decision random sort ended.
